Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week Gala 2021, the main international bridal fashion fair in the world, will take place on the October 14th.
Under the motto “The New Beginning”, Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, with the collaboration of the Generalitat of Catalunya’s Department of Business and Work, will once again bring together the sector’s leading brands, designers, professionals, media and international influencers to support one of the biggest and most affected industries after the difficult period of the pandemic.
About twenty companies will parade in front of the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc to show their latest creations. Among the guests are the Pronovias Group, with its companies House of St Patrick and Nicole Milano, Jesus Peiro, Yolancris, Isabel Sanchis, Sophie et Voilà, Ramón Sanjurjo, Marco y María, Lorena Panea, Olga Macià, Carla Ruiz and Cristina Tamborero; Antonio Riva, Amelia Casablanca and Carlo Pignatelli; Justin Alexander and The Atelier, which features designer Jimmy Choo as its creative director.
Jesús Díez Betriu, Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week’s president and Jesus Peiro’s company owner, assures that «as a businessman in the sector, I consider it important to celebrate an event that encourages us to continue promoting business with the aim of accelerating the reactivation of the market and recovering the enthusiasm, which is a fundamental part of the world of bridal fashion”.
As an innovation, some influencers will join the professional models on the catwalk to show various designs of the brands. The gala will have two outstanding hosts, Renata Zanchi and Javier de Miguel, who will introduce the brands and performances by the percussion and dance company Nexart, DJ Gerard Estadella and other artistic displays, such as the «Momento Dulce» (SweetMoment) proposed by creative pastry masters Christian Escribá and Patricia Schmidt.
Estermaria Laruccia, director of BBFW, affirms that «the rebirth of the market has returned after a very difficult period and we want to celebrate it with an event that is intended to be, above all, a tribute to the industry, a reunion between professionals and friends, and an opportunity to put the spotlight back on bridal fashion to give international visibility to brands and boost business.» Another very important goal,» adds Laruccia, «is to support the fight against child marriage and the effort to empower girls and women around the world”.
That’s why this edition will have a charitable purpose to support Save the Children and the «Stop Child Marriage» project against child marriage, an NGO with which BBFW has collaborated since 2020. Beyond that, brands participating in the gala will be able to make a donation to this cause through the website www.barcelonabridalweek.com.
Without a doubt, a gala that hints that it will beone of the best in the world of bridal fashion, with luxury guests and groundbreaking collections.
