Chiaroscuro Collection: A Study in Contrast
In art, chiaroscuro uses strong contrasts between light and dark to create depth and dimension. Justin Alexander Signature translates that principle into bridal design. Every gown explores the relationship between structure and fluidity, radiance and shadow, softness and definition.
Liquid charmeuse introduces graceful movement, while lustrous satin brings a polished glow. Architectural seams shape and frame the silhouette. Meanwhile, radiant pearls and shimmering diamante details catch the light with every step. Together, these elements create a collection that reveals its character gradually, from the first sculptural impression to the finest decorative detail.
Three Expressions of the Chiaroscuro Vision
Rather than defining the collection through a long list of names, three gowns offer a focused introduction to its visual language. Each one explores texture, silhouette and contrast from a different perspective.
Ravenna: Botanical Volume
Ravenna pairs a sculpted strapless bodice with a sweeping skirt. Botanical embroidery travels across the gown, creating texture while preserving the lightness of the silhouette. In both colour and black-and-white imagery, the design captures the collection’s dialogue between illumination and shadow.
Ardesia: Sculpted Simplicity

Caravina: Intricate Texture

From the Barcelona Runway
The Chiaroscuro story also includes Mel, Rhiannon Mini and Bloom. First presented during Justin Alexander’s 80th anniversary runway show in Barcelona, the three designs are now officially part of the Spring/Summer 2027 collection. Their arrival adds a distinctsense of catwalk drama to the wider bridal narrative.
Rather than standing apart from the collection, these runway designs extend its exploration of artistry and statement-making form. They connect a milestone moment for the house with the creative direction of the new season.
