BBFW 2026: a new era for bridal fashion. From April 22–26, Barcelona becomes the global stage, embracing bridal, eveningwear, and couture glamour.
Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW) is ready to unveil a bold new chapter. From April 22 to 26, 2026, Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue will once again transform into the beating heart of the bridal industry. Yet, this edition marks more than a celebration of bridal couture: it expands its creative universe to embrace eveningwear, red-carpet fashion, cocktail attire, and accessories, reaffirming Barcelona as the global stage where tradition meets innovation.
With over 400 brands expected (80% of them international) and around 40 designers set to light up the runway, BBFW 2026 will present a kaleidoscope of creations for brides, grooms, and beyond.
“On the Shoulders of Giants”
Every edition of BBFW carries a narrative, and the 2026 theme, “On the Shoulders of Giants”, pays homage to the visionaries who shaped the industry and paved the way for future generations.
The visual identity of this edition draws on the legacy of Lilly Reich, the German designer and architect whose contributions to design history have often been overshadowed. A key collaborator of Mies van der Rohe, Reich played a decisive role in the creation of the German Pavilion for the 1929 Barcelona International Exhibition and in the design of the now-iconic Barcelona Chair.
This tribute is echoed in the campaign imagery, which juxtaposes two Catalan fashion houses: Yolancris, represented by a dramatic black evening ensemble, and Marta Martí, with an ethereal bridal look. Two models of different generations bring these designs to life, highlighting fashion’s ability to transcend conventions and reveal individuality.

Barcelona Bridal Night – 10th edition
Adding to the excitement, 2026 also marks the tenth edition of Barcelona Bridal Night. Over the years, this event has become one of the most glamorous highlights of the week, bringing global haute couture names to the Barcelona stage. For its anniversary, Bridal Night will feature a world-renowned designer, joining the ranks of past legends such as Viktor & Rolf, Elie Saab, Giambattista Valli, and Vivienne Westwood. The promise of a spectacular haute couture show makes this milestone edition particularly unmissable.
Global Capital of Occasion Fashion
By expanding its scope to evening and special occasion fashion, BBFW 2026 reaffirms its forward-looking vision while honoring the heritage of an industry built “on the shoulders of giants.” Barcelona once again stands as the international benchmark for bridal and occasion fashion!
