
The world has been facing its share of challenges lately, and the fashion industry is feeling the impact.
The eagerly awaited Barcelona Bridal & Fashion Awards took place last Saturday 26 April as part of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW), bringing together the world’s leading bridal fashion industry figures for an evening dedicated to excellence, innovation and a shared passion for design.
Presented with charisma and elegance by famous designer and television personality Randy Fenoli, the ceremony welcomed more than 500 guests, including established brands, emerging talents, designers, key buyers, influencers and media representatives from around the world.
Award categories
An international panel of 22 fashion experts selected the winners in six main categories, each recognising different aspects of excellence, creativity and impact within the bridal fashion industry. The winners of this third edition of the Barcelona Bridal & Fashion Awards were:
- Best Wedding Dress: Isabel Sanchis (Valencia), for her longstanding dedication and global recognition.
- Best Bridal Collection: Lorena Formoso (Madrid), for her exquisite craftsmanship and contemporary silhouettes.
- Best Red Carpet Collection: Ines Di Santo, for her glamorous and romantic designs, a favourite with global celebrities.
- Best Visual Campaign: Stephane Rolland, for a visually appealing proposal that evokes timeless beauty.
- Industry Impact Award: Giambattista Valli, recognised for his third Bridal Love Collection, one of the highlights of this edition.
- Best Destination Wedding Planner: Bianco Bouquet (Italy), awarded in collaboration with Barcelona Turisme.


Honorary Awards
In addition, six honorary awards were presented to designers and brands with strong links to the city of Barcelona and to BBFW itself, an event that every year transforms the Catalan capital into the world’s epicentre of bridal fashion. This year’s winners were
- Barcelona Brand Award: Teresa Helbig, for her exceptional craftsmanship and commitment to sustainable and artisanal fashion.
- Lifetime Achievement Award: Stella McCartney, for her visionary and ethical approach to haute couture.
- Strategic Partner Award: Justin Alexander, for helping to establish Barcelona as the bridal fashion capital of the world.
- BBFW Historic Brand: Cymbeline, celebrating over 30 years on the BBFW catwalk.
- Best stand design: Elly Haute Couture, for the aesthetic excellence of its stand in 2024.
- People’s Choice Award: Raquel López, whose show received the most engagement from BBFW’s Instagram community.
All the award winners received a unique handmade trophy, designed by Laura Carmona and Carol Pascual from Cual Estudio (Valencia). The piece embodies the fusion of craftsmanship and contemporary design, as well as a strong commitment to sustainability – values that are at the centre of the event.
The evening ended with a vibrant celebration, where designers, brands and sector professionals toasted an industry in constant evolution. Once again, Barcelona reinforced its position as the bridal fashion capital of the world with its unrivalled blend of tradition, innovation and creativity
