At the closing of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2025, Pedro Palmas took to the runway a proposal full of strength, emotion, and identity.
The “L’AMOUR” collection marked the designer’s return to international runways with a clear statement: fashion is freedom, and self-love always comes first.
Inspired by the opera Carmen, the collection was built around a woman who doesn’t ask permission to be. A woman who loves, yes, but who chooses herself first above all.
It was with this spirit of independence, sensuality, and affirmation that the presentation emerged, in an elegant balance between theatricality and sobriety.
The dresses appeared with precise cuts, structured silhouettes that revealed the influence of architecture, an element now inseparable from Pedro Palmas’ creative language. Well-defined volumes, sculptural drapes, striking necklines, and fabrics with presence all contributed to creating figures that occupied the space with a serene grandeur.
The color palette moved between pure white, dramatic black, and accents of red and gold, directly evoking the world of Bizet’s Carmen, rebellious, tragic and passionate.
Also noteworthy were the meticulously executed details: hand-embroidery, lace applied with precision, and rich fabrics that reinforced the idea of a powerful bride, dressing not to please but to express herself.
After more than a decade of creative silence and personal reflection, Pedro Palmas returns with new energy, but true to his essence: feminine pieces with soul and presence.
The brand, now renewed under the name PALMAS, showed at BBFW that time can be a valuable ally, and creative maturity allows for saying more with less, with more intention and truth.
“L’AMOUR” was not just a collection of dresses. It was a declaration. A firm gesture from someone who understands that dressing is also an act of freedom.
