Oswaldo Machín took us on a journey to the heart of his homeland with the collection “Hebras de Alisios”, a heartfelt tribute to the volcanic elegance of Lanzarote.
Indeed, the models appeared wrapped in fabrics that seemed shaped by the wind, with subtle movement and organic forms that evoked the island’s arid and luminous landscape.
With a visual language that fuses Canarian tradition with contemporary sophistication, “Hebras de Alisios” revealed itself as an ode to the feminine silhouette, marked by the fluidity of fabrics and the subtle strength of volume.
Fabrics such as crepe georgette, chiffon, embroidered lace, and fantasy tulle were masterfully crafted, in some cases into structured dresses with a light appearance, and in others into three-dimensional textures directly reminiscent of the island’s volcanic rock.
Necklines sweetheart, bateau, deep V or softly raised, were paired with straight skirts, princess cuts and draped bodices, creating a balanced diversity between tradition and modernity.
One of the most memorable moments was the reinvention of the brand’s signature design, now featuring crystal-embroidered lace, which drew fascinated gazes from every corner of the room.
However, the most authentic touch came in the details: the traditional Canarian fretwork, discreetly integrated into several pieces of the collection, deepened the emotional and cultural connection of the proposal. It was a respectful and elegant nod to the region’s artisanal heritage.
The colour palette remained faithful to the landscape that inspired the collection — luminous whites and soft greys, as if each dress were an extension of Lanzarote’s terrain.
The contrasts between lightness and structure, opacity and transparency, tradition and avant-garde, created a narrative that was coherent, sensitive, and distinct.
Oswaldo Machín offered a sensorial experience — a love letter to his island, his roots, and the women who wear his creations with authenticity.
And at the end of the show, one thing was certain: “Hebras de Alisios” is a celebration of fashion with soul, crafted by hands that know the land, and a vision firmly set on the future.
