Demetrios unveiled its 2026 collection at BBFW, blending modern romance with timeless silhouettes, rich fabrics, and versatile bridal designs.

At this year’s Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, Demetrios took to the runway with its Spring-Summer 2026 collection: a line up that paid tribute to nearly five decades of the brand’s presence in bridal fashion.

Known for its wide-ranging designs and commitment to craftsmanship, Demetrios used this occasion to present a collection that bridges the gap between tradition and modernity.

The show opened with structured silhouettes featuring basque waists and sculpted bodices, immediately highlighting the brand’s focus on form and fit. Throughout the presentation, fabrics played a central role, like the crisp texture of Mikado and organza or the soft movement of crêpe and taffeta.

Another key element of the show was versatility, since many of the gowns were styled with detachable details such as statement sleeves, overskirts, and matching veils. On another note, accessories were deliberately present and contributed to the styling of each piece, reinforcing the idea that every detail matters.

What stood out across the collection was the way Demetrios merged vintage elements — like corsetry and dramatic volume — with contemporary cuts and finishes. Some dresses featured subtle embellishments, while others relied solely on the cut and fabric to make an impact. The overall palette remained traditional, focusing on shades of white and ivory, with an occasional touch of shimmer.

As one of the few brands at BBFW with five distinct bridal lines and a bespoke service, the presentation highlighted the label’s ability to adapt to different styles, budgets, and bridal visions. From timeless classics to more fashion-forward choices, the show catered to a wide range of preferences.

The brand’s founder, Demetrios James Elias, continues to influence the aesthetic direction of the collections, bringing together his Greek heritage and New York upbringing in a way that is both recognizable and evolving.
