In collaboration with Brazilian designer Lucas Anderi, the Cymbeline show was a sensory journey across continents, cultures, and emotions.
The 2026 collection, poetically titled “The Thread of Emotion,” celebrated the union of French savoir-faire and the vibrant spirit of Brazil, in a sophisticated dialogue between tradition, boldness, and art.
As soon as the runway lights came on, the stage transformed into a global narrative. Each dress was a chapter, each fabric a memory from the journey. With subtle references to Paris, Calais-Caudry lace worked with the precision that only French tradition can offer and tropical touches evoking the samba and the effervescent energy of São Paulo, the show presented an unexpected fusion that resulted in a cohesive, unmistakably unique collection.
The silhouettes ranged from classic to avant-garde. Bold transparencies, layers of organza and overlapping lace gave the dresses movement and transformed them with ingenious simplicity. The pieces exuded both freedom and sophistication.
From the gown that seemed to float with every step to the structured design featuring embroidered raffia details, the collection surprised with its contrast between rusticity and refinement.
Lucas Anderi brought the lightness of the Brazilian woman, her natural sensuality, while Cymbeline remained true to its haute couture French DNA, with refined layering, meticulous pleating, and flawless finishes.
The show was not merely a sequence of dresses. It was an ode to craftsmanship, to the hands that shape, embroider, cut, and transform fabric into emotion. A tribute to the anonymous artisans, the Lunéville workshops, the embroiderers, and the women who have been sewing dreams for over 50 years in Cymbeline’s ateliers.
In the end, the audience responded with heartfelt enthusiasm. Warm applause, knowing smiles, and a shared certainty lingered in the air: luxury is not just about aesthetics, it is about heritage, culture, and humanity.
“The Thread of Emotion” tied Paris to São Paulo, New York to Barcelona, in a show that reminded us that fashion, when made with art and sincerity, is a universal language.
