BBFW 2025 prepares for its largest edition ever

BBFW 2025 prepares for its largest edition ever, with 450 brands and a strengthened position as the global leader in bridal fashion.

Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW) 2025 is set for a huge edition that will strengthen its position as the leading event in bridal fashion, wedding dresses and accessories worldwide. With 450 brands expected to participate, 12% more than in 2024, the event will be the most comprehensive showcase of the latest trends and a driving force for the fashion industry.

The next edition of BBFW is set to be the biggest yet, with more brands participating and 29% more exhibition space than in 2024. This year, the event expands to include Hall 8 at Montjuïc, home to the catwalk and Fashion Village, plus a new networking hub at Plaza del Universo for buyers and professionals. This growth reflects not only the rising demand but also the goal of offering attendees a richer and more dynamic experience.

A truly international lineup awaits, with 82% of brands coming from countries around the world—a record-breaking level of diversity. From emerging designers to renowned fashion houses, expect a global showcase featuring talent from Italy, Germany, the UK, Japan, the US, Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, and more.

We are going to offer in Barcelona the biggest and best bridal fashion event in the world held to date. We will bring together the latest designs from internationally renowned brands and haute couture, as well as creations from new designers and prestigious ateliers.” She adds, “BBFW has become the industry’s must-attend event for doing business and setting future trends, which is why the fair continues to grow in volume, opportunities, diversity, and internationality.

Bridal fashion icons

Spanish talent takes center stage with YolanCris, Sophie et Voilà, Isabel Sanchis, Tot-Hom, Cortana, and Marco & María showcasing national design excellence. They’ll be joined by international icons like Temperley London, The Atelier, Modeca, and newcomers Grace Loves Lace and The 2nd Skin Co.

American bridal powerhouses Justin Alexander, Morilee, Randy Fenoli, and Allure will also shine, alongside European brands like Savannah Miller, Halo & Co, and Demetrios. Haute couture will be a highlight, with Vivienne Westwood headlining Barcelona Bridal Night and showcasing her collection alongside Giambattista Valli, Zuhair Murad, Stéphane Rolland, and others in the exclusive showroom.

Made in Barcelona

To boost the national and international presence and growth of Catalan brands, BBFW will feature ‘The Edit Barcelona’ space, which will bring together local companies with growth potential.

Along these lines, Albasarí Caro notes that “this space is a sign of BBFW’s commitment to Barcelona-based companies, as well as its desire to boost their visibility and presence in the market. The space will host from emerging firms to artisan workshops that preserve the rich Catalan textile tradition, becoming a true ‘incubator’ of fashion for the brides of today and tomorrow.” For the firms, she adds, “it will be a new opportunity to connect after last year’s Barcelona Goes Bridal initiative at BBFW and also at the meetings that we hold regularly at the show to encourage the exchange of ideas, opportunities, challenges and solutions among all of them.

Additionally, ‘The Edit’ aims to diversify its offering and highlight the importance of innovative design, and will therefore host other national and international brands that prioritize customization in their bridal dress designs.
