Isabel Sanchis, renowned for her creation of fashion for women, discusses how the brand ensures that its designs meet the diverse needs and preferences of its female clientele. They emphasize their strategy of crafting extensive collections that cater to various cultures, ages, and sizes, considering the global reach of their sales. Additionally, with many women involved in the brand, they conduct internal reviews to ensure that the collection resonates with different tastes and occasions, thereby aiming to address multiple needs and preferences.
The brand also explains that the decision stemmed from increasing demand from brides seeking something unique, well-crafted, and with character. They note the evolution of modern weddings, emphasizing a preference for enjoyment over tradition. Also, participation in events like the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week facilitated the process, leading to the launch of their first bridal collection several years ago.
The brand starts with the quest for special dresses with distinctive details while ensuring they are well-fitting and crafted with excellence.
We admit certain customization changes because we understand that each public and market is different and so we adapt to each client. In addition, we have a database of dozens of collections where we have many types of dresses and so we can offer a very wide variety.
We wanted to know how Isabel Sanchis’ source of inspiration has evolved over the years, and whether there are any consistent themes or motifs in their creative journey. In response, the brand highlights that nature and sculpture remain constant themes inspiring their collections, as they bring delicacy, volume, and avant-garde elements. However, they note that inspiration can be found everywhere, from women themselves to ancient books.
We start with a search for details, drawings, special prints and sketching the first ideas. We transfer this information to the pattern makers so that we can start the first prototypes. Here begins the whole process of testing, making the necessary changes and testing with the different fabrics chosen until we reach the final one. Then there is a very meticulous work of embroidery and details that make the piece is finished and complete.
Isabel Sanchis mention their global presence in countries like the USA, Singapore, and the UAE, and express their upcoming goal of establishing flagship stores, starting with Madrid and gradually expanding to other cities. Additionally, recent collections have seen collaborations with Steve Madden for footwear and Luz de Nehca for jewelry.
Looking ahead, the brand reflects on the legacy it aspires to leave in the fashion industry. They emphasize the significance of their special dresses, particularly the black dresses, suggesting that everyone should have a special black dress as a wardrobe staple, ideally one from their collection. This, they believe, will contribute to shaping the narrative of women’s and bridal fashion for future generations.
