Barcelona declares itself as the capital of world bridal fashion. A leadership that will be verified again from April 19 to 23 during the celebration of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW)
It´s a benchmark event for the major international brands in the sector, emerging talent and haute couture firms that present their creations for the next season. The catwalk, with shows by 34 designers and ELIE SAAB as the protagonist, will show the trends while the trade fair, with more than 350 exhibiting brands, will boost business and commercial contacts with buyers and distributors from 90 countries.
The director of BBFW, Albasarí Caro, underlines “our event breathes fashion, creativity, business and internationality thanks to the support of the global bridal universe and the presence of major haute couture brands. We are leaders and we follow the sector in its growth and evolution, collecting the latest trends and creating the right atmosphere to boost sales as buyers from all over the world visit us”.
Catwalk
BBFW will begin with the catwalk, where the parades of 34 designers from 15 countries will take place over 4 days. The new collections of national bridal brands such as Jesús Peiró will be seen; Rosa Clara; Atelier Pronovias; Nicole Milano; Isabel Sanchis… Internationally, there will be brands such as Cymbeline (France); Marylise & Rembo Styling (Belgium); The Atelier Couture by Prof. Jimmy Choo (Malaysia); Julia Kontogruni (Bulgaria); Demetrios and Carlo Pignatelli (Italy); Modeca (Netherlands), or Ines di Santo (Canada).
Elie Saab
ELIE SAAB, the favourite Lebanese haute couture firm of the red carpet stars and royals, will exclusively bring the first world fashion show of its bridal collection to Barcelona. It will be within the framework of the Barcelona Bridal Night that will take place on April 19 at the Museu Marítim of Barcelona with national and international guests including professionals, designers, buyers, influencers and the media.
Showcase
From the catwalk to business. The trade fair that brings together more than 350 brands from 34 countries will begin on April 21. In addition to Spain –the world’s second largest exporter of bridal fashion–, the US, France, Italy, Poland and the Netherlands are the countries that will take the most exhibiting firms to BBFW. 30% of the brands will participate in the fair for the first time, attracted by the high convening power of the event (with 70% of its international visitors), and by its proven effectiveness in closing sales, being the global leader in the sector.
