African culture in New York Fashion Week

Taússy Daniel will show her new collection “Blooming” on New York Fashion Week 2023.

The mozambican designer Taússy Daniel is presenting her new collection, “Blooming”, next Sunday (12th feb) at the world´s largest fashion week. The event, that takes place at City Point Brooklyn, from February 9th to 15th, presents the main fashion trends for the next fall/winter season. The last edition was in September.

The fashion designer will present a total of 12 looks with pieces that were produced in an almost artisanal way. The “Blooming“ collection stands out due to the different cuts, colors and African inspired prints. Taússy Daniel refers that “My collection walks through flower gardens. The looks to be presented will be worked out in different fabrics, inspired in the African continent.”

Taússy Catarina Daniel Remane was born in Mozambique and entered the fashion industry as a designer. When she was 18, she won the “Best Young Designer” award at Mozambique Fashion Week. In 2010 and 2011, Taússy Daniel was the winner of the “Women´s Entrepreneur Awards”, at MOWE (Month of women entrepreneur). Nowadays she has become a reference in Mozambican society and some VIP are already wearing her models.
