The most elegant season of the year has arrived, the most awaited event for fashion lovers.
It goes beyond a mere catwalk. It is a parade of global magnitude where several designers gather to present their collections and this season commemorates its 60th anniversary.
Fashion, art and literature, has always been the way to express a revolution and evolution of society, that’s why New York Fashion Week has a great historical weight. It began in 1943, because the Second World War continued and New York was a safe place for the entire fashion industry to meet, where the goal would be the meeting of the great French designers. Later, the event acquired the name “Press Week” thanks to Eleanor Lamber, where American designers began to join the event.
Currently the New York Fashion Week, continues in the search for the rupture of schemes that had been previously imposed and designers have the great intention to impress the viewer with each of the garments of the collections presented, This year there has been a special support to the new generations of talents.
This year, the event started on September 9, ending on September 14 and opening in a different location, at the Gracie Mansion, the official residence of the city’s mayor. To the satisfaction of Steven Kolb (CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, which will coordinate the event), the location makes even more sense, as the president in question supports fashion as a sector of the economy and believes in its role as a generator of employment. Several collections for the fall-winter 2022 and spring-summer 2023 seasons were observed, where there was no shortage of collections from Carolina Herrera , Proenza , Fendi , Dion Lee , Marni , Studio 189 , PH5 , COACH , Ashlyn Area , Peter Do , Tory Burch , Puma , Michael Kors , Tom Ford and Tommy Hilfiger. With only a few designers highlighted, they all present completely different collections,
New York Fashion Week, represented by more than a week full of fashion shows, is a celebration with great style and flooding the city with lots of color, spectacle and above all, lots of fashion and creativity.
