The most elegant season of the year has arrived, the most awaited event for fashion lovers.
It goes beyond a mere catwalk. It is a parade of global magnitude where several designers gather to present their collections and this season commemorates its 60th anniversary.
Fashion, art and literature, has always been the way to express a revolution and evolution of society, that’s why New York Fashion Week has a great historical weight. It began in 1943, because the Second World War continued and New York was a safe place for the entire fashion industry to meet, where the goal would be the meeting of the great French designers. Later, the event acquired the name “Press Week” thanks to Eleanor Lamber, where American designers began to join the event.
Currently the New York Fashion Week, continues in the search for the rupture of schemes that had been previously imposed and designers have the great intention to impress the viewer with each of the garments of the collections presented, This year there has been a special support to the new generations of talents.
This year, the event started on September 9, ending on September 14 and opening in a different location, at the Gracie Mansion, the official residence of the city’s mayor.
