In a matter of months the new edition of the Valmont Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week will take place and we believe that a recap of its most successful and international year is in order. This past April we were fortunate enough to live this great experience very closely alongside more than 22,000 visitors from 88 different countries. VBBFW organized by Fira de Barcelona has been the go-to for the world’s bridal sector, not only because of its professional facilities and Fashion Shows, but also because of the events that were held simultaneously. Among others the Bridal Night and the Elle International Fashion Awards.

A must attend for the bridal professional

Throughout the three day event of the Professional Trade Fair, VBBFW gathered more than 400 Bridal companies, 74% of these international firms, which presented their most vanguard  proposals to an international audience of more than 1,300 key buyers.

During the previous four days at the Fashion Shows, the newest wedding gown trends for the following season were showcased.

The Barcelona Bridal Night had Marchesa as their special guest, the brand presented their Marchesa Bridal Couture collection for the first time in Europe, in which not only did their spectacular wedding gowns stand out, but their evening dress collection was also admired.

The  night of The ELLE International Bridal Awards presented by the media expert Randy Fenoli took place at the Universidad de Barcelona and had among its guests entrepreneurs, news reporters and prestigious professionals of the field. On this occasion Peter Langner, Antonio Riva, Elie Saab, Tom Ford, Stella McCartney, Tiffany & Co., Yolacris, Anna Francisco, Hotel Il Pellicano, and Rosa Clara received awards. VBBFW’s special mention was awarded to Marchesa.

Prestigious Brands

In every edition, VBBFW manages to impress us with the presence of international firms that arrive to Barcelona to show us what the trends will be for the upcoming season.

If 2019 had highly recognized American firm Marchesa responsible for dressing Hollywood stars to walk down the red carpet, and The Atelier with creative director professor Jimmy Choo…

What surprises are in store for 2020?
